Carver News by California Voices Students

California Voices students at Carver Middle School in west Fresno produced the following CARVER NEWS video, profiling local events and activities which engage young people with the community around them.  Each month, students produce a new news segment to share with their peers.  February's newscast includes stories about: the Fall 2009 Neighborhood Leaf Clean-Up, Scout Island Field Trip, Hmong New Year, and the Wonder Valley retreat to plan for the Fresno County Youth Service Fair.

California Voices is part of the Full Service Community Schools grant, where CMC is working together with a network of community partners and Fresno Unified School District to provide unique opportunities to the children and families of west Fresno.
