The FresYES All-Stars is a youth leadership program for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 19, the majority of whom come from at-risk and underserved backgrounds. These youth leaders meet each Saturday to:
- Increase technological literacy, including digital communication, web design, video editing, and graphic design
- Learn a wide range of important life skills, including interpersonal communications, public speaking, writing, project management, and time management skills.
- Set life goals and outline tangible steps to achieve these goals, focused on immediate and long-term steps to position themselves for success through internships and college entry.
- Learn teambuilding and leadership skills to organize and guide larger groups of youth volunteers through various CMC intergenerational digital storytelling programming.
- Commit to a year of service to their community, volunteering an average of 20 hours each month, helping others in their community, including mentoring at least two new All-Stars every year.
FresYES creates leaders who positively affect hundreds of other residents of the Central Valley through their project leadership, youth recruitment and mentoring, and service to community.
