CMC’s Youth Empowerment Studios (YES) is a workforce development social enterprise initiative that provides students from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods an opportunity to earn income as Youth Media Consultants who provide media solutions for government, education and non-profit sectors.
FresYES (Fresno Youth Empowerment Studios) and SacYES (Sacramento Youth Empowerment Studios) are our two digital media studios that assist 12 to 24 year old leaders through increased technological literacy in web design, graphic design, video production and mobile communication. Youth Media Consultants also learn life skills that include time, project and client management, public speaking, writing, interpersonal and intercultural communication.
Through YES, Youth Media Consultants offer video production services that include event and short form production (from event highlight videos to mini documentaries to Public Service Announcements and commercials); social media production including networking, marketing and distribution solutions; as well as individual, group and company wide technology and participatory media seminars based on your specific needs.
Some of the services offered through YES enterprises includes:
- Video production, including the filming of events and the production of PSAs and television commercials.
- Social media production, including social networking marketing (Myspace, Facebook), online video distribution (Youtube) and other social media solutions.
- Technology training on information management, specializing in both individual organization training and group trainings.
